If it’s not obvious that you do, you don’t. A brutal but useful reminder. If you don’t have strong PMF, and if strong PMF is important to your business (it probably is!) then you likely should figure out how to get it and just focus on that.

VC in most forms is a sales and marketing (aka sales but in a 1-to-many form) business. The public markets don’t require nearly as much sales skill, because you don’t need permission from the founder to buy into a public stock.
